Don't Fail School Fool
Well, much to my chagrin, I reluctantly learned that my humanities online class ended last week. I planned on doing all the assignments this week. You know dead week when work gets done. However, my class decided to end two weeks before all my other classes. Now, in order to graduate this May I need to have 128 hours of college credit. Much to my dismay, I only have 125 because I will not be passing my easy as pie online course. There is much to learn here. Don't procrastinate, and do not ever take online classes at WVU. They are hard to navigate. They cost 40 bucks a credit hour and you don't find out till half way through the year that you owe them money. You don't have a interpersonal relationship with your instructor, so there is know constant reminders or useful information. Bottom line, be cool and stay in school and go to lectures. I thought it would be awesome and freeing having online classes. Instead they were more of a burden than helpful, and now I am going to have to pay the consequences by taking a summer class to make up for the three I will not be receiving.

May is here! Graduation
I am so ready to be over college! I came in determined to get a degree in four years and use my promise to come out debt free. Well, may is lurking around the corner, and if all goes well, I should accomplish just that. "C's get degrees" as the cliche goes, and that is exactly how I have gone about my school work this semester. I am usually a much better student, and I never thought that senioritis would plague me again, but I was totally wrong. Somewhere after midterms I just completely gave up, and now that spring is here I am facing an uphill battle to pass some of my classes (such as the one I am blogging for). I hope everything works out, and I pray to God that I never get in a position like this again.

Viral Video Blog
I swore I posted this but I guess not. Either way I put it on Facebook, I love how this six year old can lay the hit stick! I mean come on, Todd and Mel Kiper have this kid on their big board for draft day. I have never seen a hit like this and it's a six year old. Plus Tosh.0 will make you cry with his analysis of this video. Check it out!
KB's mixtape is amazing!
I have always been a big fan of mix tapes, usually because they are free! I loved Lupe Fiasco's mix tape when it dropped about two months ago. It has been frequently been in my headphones since. Well, I guess its on to the next one. Someone shared a link with me to reachrecords.com and told me to download a new artist named KB. I did because I trust this persons taste in music. I loved it. KB is a christian rapper, but is still ill. He has sick analogies with tremendous talent. I haven't stopped bumping it ever since its been on my iphone. That being said you should check it out, and I can't wait till he drops his first album.

Student Government Association
I always thought that the student government association (SGA) was just a popularity contest, just like high school's student council. As much as I thought it was stupid, I have always LOVED voting weeks. Mainly because I got hooked up with all types of free stuff such as: pizza, chick fi le, pens, candy, cookies, stress balls, and apparel! I never voted for anyone, but acted like I was very interested in what they had to say because I was getting free stuff. Lately however, I actually have payed attention to how SGA works because I have to contact SGA's from other campuses with my internship at SustainU. They are not just popular frat boys and sorority girls but many of them are very accomplished people who want to better their campus. Some of them actually do care about their campus are interested in doing what it takes to make it better. Therefore, I voted for the first time in my collegiate career for who I thought was the best candidates. Some of it is whacky and they make ridiculous claims that will never come together (kind of like real presidential elections), but SGA does have value!
Let's Go Bucs!
I know it is early, and I know this might sound a little crazy, but the Pittsburgh Pirates might surprise some people how good they really are. With a core group of guys such as Neil Walker, Andrew McCutchen, Pedro Alveraz, and Jose Tabata, the Pirates have a healthy batting lineup this year and for years to come. The fact that our clean up hitters used to be Ryan Doumit and Garret Jones, and our now batting late in the order is very refreshing to know. For the first time since the Bay, Nady, Mclouth trade, the Pirates may actually be able to generate runs. Also, the additions of Overbay and Correia give us some veterans to help the younger guys develop. Now I am not going to go out there and say this could be the "season" were the Pirates actually win more games than lose them. However, I will say that WITH IMPROVED PITCHING, the Pirates are on the up and up, and I am excited to see how this 2011 season ends up. Also, it is a good sign that the Buccos won there first away series this year considering the fact that they only won four last year. I hope for more "raise the jolly rodgers" and a fun season for all Pirate fans. PS (I really hope we don't trade anyone this year just for stereotypical reasons.)

Spring Break "just chilling"
I went home to Charleston, West Virginia for a much needed and anticipated break. I turned down a free beach trip to Florida, because it was going to be my last "single" spring break, and I wanted to spend it with the fam. I just relaxed all week and watched one of the most exciting NCAA tournaments I have ever witnessed. (Ps I picked UCONN to win it all, and they still have a pretty good shot at doing it). Played ball as many times as I possibly could with old friends, ate home cooked meals, read leisurly, and finished up wedding plans with the fiance' plus took her out to a romantic dinner at Angela's on the River. I definitely recommend going here. The food was amazing and affordable. However, if you plan on having a romantic evening with your partner try to avoid these three things:
1) Don't lose your muffler on the way there, and then have to stop a bus full of kids pulling out of a elementary school. After stopping traffic and throwing my muffler in the trunk of my car and thoroughly embarrassing her, my car decided to another trick and have the back right bumper fall off.
2) Don't take your romantic partner to a romantic destination during a tornado watch, in which there is a possibility of being hammered with hail the size of quarters, and making a 20 minute drive turn into a thrilling 40 drive of "hail" (get it)
3) Lastly, don't let your best friend and his brother and random employee sit with you during the no longer romantic date. Avoid these things and you should be straight.
All that being said, spring break was great, and I loved being home with friends and family having real talk, and smoking ribs. I now feel recharged and am ready to finish my last semester strong. Well at least stronger than high school.

Food (My top 10 favorite places to get food in Morgantown)
Well after viewing many blogs. I decided to jump on the bandwagon and make a top 10 list of my own. So, these are the places over the last four years I have enjoyed the most around the Morgantown campus of WVU.
10) Damon's- I love going there during March Madness because I can watch all of the projected games. Food is good, but not great. On the contrary drinks are great, and if your into fantasy sports, Damon's is for you.
9) DP Dough- Tastes so good. I love the buffer zone and love how they deliver. However, I can't stand the smell that lingers on my clothing when I go inside.
8) Ledos Pizza- New to Morgantown, but extremely quality pizza.
7) Kegglers- I love Keggler's wings, especially there Gold Sauce. Great Drink options as well as tons of televisions to watch your favorite sporting events.
6) Cheddars- Sooo cheap and filling! There buffalo wraps are awesome as well as there croissants
5) Pee King House- Lunch special owns! 6.25 for a plate of sesame chicken, unlimited hot tea, and bowl of soup of your choice (wonton recommended)
4) Number 1 Super buffet- Mongolian grill, endless sushii, and unlimited crab legs on week days! Oh yea
3) Jimmy Johns- Delivers super fast and until open till 4 am. They are freaky fast and freaking good. (Yet, I don't recommend working there)
2) Hibachi- I love this place. There steak is unbelievable, and it is always entertaining. I go here every year for my birthday, and it has become a great tradition.
1) Panera- Panera has my heart because I am always in the mood for good soup and sandwiches. There breakfast is great and there coffee is better! Awesome place to get home work done with their free wi fi, and it has been a great place to just kick it with friends and have good conversation.

About me
My name is Sam Snyder, and I am a senior at WVU. I am about to graduate this May and transition into married life to a wonderful woman. Currently, I am working about 15 hours a week at Jimmy Johns from 10pm to 5 am. Also, I am working as an intern for SustainU, which is a 100% American made t-shirt company. I love it! On top of that I do a non-profit ministry called Young Life at Morgantown High School about 15 hours a week. All that being said, none of this maters compared to having a relationship with Jesus Christ which has drastically changed my life. As Paul said, "However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace." (acts 20:24) That being said, I really am not that interesting, I just know a God who is.
